Rather than a simple love story, the video powerfully depicted a couple dealing with the wife’s severe, debilitating battle with mental illness and suicidal depression. It highlighted the agonies faced by caretakers trying to save the ones they love. The campaign prominently featured the Campaign to Change Direction, significantly raising mental health awareness in the country music community.
